Ogimachisanjo Kinharu (正親町三条公治)

Kinharu OGIMACHISANJO (1441 - April 16, 1495) was a Kugyo (top court official) during the Muromachi period. He was a retainer of the Imperial Court serving two generations: Emperor Gohanazono (102nd) and Emperor Gotsuchimikado (103rd), and his highest official court rank was Shonii (Senior Second Rank) Gon Dainagon (a provisional chief councilor of state). His father was Naidaijin (Minister of the Interior) Sanemasa OGIMACHISANJO. His older brother was Kintsuna OGIMACHISANJO. Saneoki OGIMACHISANJO, Sanemochi OGIMACHISANJO, Suekuni HIGENOI, and Sonjitsu (Gonsojo (the lowest grade that can be held by one who has reached the highest rank in the hierarchy of Buddhist priests) of Enryaku-ji Temple on Mt. Hiei) were his children. He had a daughter who became Kanesuke TAKATSUKASA's wife. His original names were Kokyu (公躬) and Koshin (公真).

He was ennobled in 1446. He became jiju (chamberlain), Kai no Gon no suke (Provisional Assistant Governor of Kai Province), Ukone no shosho (Minor Captain of the Right Division of Inner Palace Guards), Ukone no chujo (Middle Captain of the Right Division of Inner Palace Guards), Shimotsuke no Gon no suke (Provisional Assistant Governor of Shimotsuke Province), and Kurodo no to (Head Chamberlain), and finally became Sangi (councilor) in 1458 to rank with Kugyo. After that, he became Echizen no Gon no kami (Provisional Governor of Echizen Province), Sanuki no Gon no kami (Provisional Governor of Sanuki Province), Gon Chunagon (a provisional vice-councilor of state) and then Gon Dainagon in 1481, and served until 1489.
